Topographic maps have many uses in the field of sport, from fishing to hiking to orienteering. They have an enormous amount of detail which the sportsperson would find invaluable. Many of these topographic maps are in the format which can be folded neatly to fit into the pocket of an orienteering person, or into one of the many pockets on a fisherman’s jacket. A topographic map is a useful piece of kit for anyone venturing out into the unknown. Someone going for a walk into the forest would do well to take one with them, if more people did so then maybe there wouldn’t be the same amounts of rescues to be made.
