My brother called me one evening, and said he needed someone to talk to. He came over and told me he was not happy with his job or his life. Now mind you my brother already has an MBA, with a cushy, high paying corporate executive job. He said he wanted to do something more meaningful, where he could help people. I suggested that he look into Online LPN Training. He thought it was a wonderful idea, and went on my computer to find a college to immediately enroll in. My brother thanked me for my insight. I told him I admired his bravery for having the courage be happy and fulfilled in a new career and in his life.
Nursing is an extremely noble profession, whether it is a man or a woman who does it. And these online institutions that are providing these programs are doing a great job. Many men who’d never have considered nursing are now doing it because learning for it has become so simple. God bless all of you!
My brother’s a nurse too. There’s nothing wrong with that. He went the traditional way to become an LPN and he took 2 years. Now I have heard some of these online courses are over within just 6 months to 1 year. Faster you begin earning then!
I’ll be a nurse in October this year and am so excited about it. I was a bit nervy when I enrolled for the course, not knowing where this would lead me to, but as I studied more and more I saw myself in the profession and was happy about my decision.
I’d love to become a nurse. Your brother’s story has inspired me. I am an accountant and doing well but I find my job too boring. I am a very people’s person if you know what I mean and I think nursing will give me that chance. Thanks!
You guys really need to go into any reputed hospital and take a look around. There are a lot of male nurses all around, and they are very happy with what they are doing. The presence of online courses has probably increased this tendency of men to think about taking up nursing.
I don’t know why there’s still some kind of reservation about men when deciding upon nursing as a potential profession. Come on, guys, I am a male nurse too and it isn’t bad. You are doing something for others and it pays well too.
I am a male nurse and am educated online. The best thing is that with online programs you are free to learn as you want. I was working and learning at the same time and this online approach made it possible for me to do both things together.
It is commendable that your brother made the leap from being an MBA to being an LPN. But I hope his livelihood hasn’t taken a tumble. Is he earning just as much now that he is a nurse? Sorry for asking such a personal question but I’d like the information to decide on my own career shift.
