Posted by Margert,

I just finished installing a new gas fireplace. It was bloody hell hard work but it felt great to do some grafting (nearly) all on my own and complete a job for a change. It was hard work but quite easy as there were barely any complications. The hard work comes down to the physical work being put in but that all pays off when you know what a lovely addition you are going to have added to your house. Gas Fireplace installation is made much easier and gets done to a much higher standard when you have a great plan. I used the instructions from an article on this website here to get my bearings on what I was doing. With a solid plan it makes the work a lot easier and more enjoyable

Hey, great link thanks a lot. How have you been finding your fireplace since you installed it? I have read the articles on the website and will be making some solid steps towards remodelling one by this weekend. Cheers bud

Yeah I know tell me about it, one of the best jobs I’ve ever had was doing manual labour for someone as a landscaper. What this really meant was digging big holes out of he ground. But it was so satisfying seeing the end product at the end of the days work.

Great job there mate well done. I know what you mean theres something really enjoyable about manual work especially on something you love like your home. I work in an office all the time and one thing i miss is the physical exertion you get from manual work.
