Hot tubs prices: does any one know if there is a better place to compare thse preices than on this internet thing? I’m at the library because I do not have a personal computer at home. I know, everyone laughs at me and says that I should live in this decade. So I’m here in the midst of all these book worms trying to figure this web net thing out. I want to purchase a hot tub for the back patio and a friend told me to check them out on the web. But I’m having a hard time trying to find out how to get to that internet. Am I here now?

If it’s a hot tub you need, it might be better for you if you go to somewhere local and talk to a representative or a salesman. They are pushy at times but the can be very helpful if you let them.

If you want to learn about computers and the web you could send off for some of those courses from the PC doctor, I think that’s his name. Then you could just follow along as you play the disk.

If I can hazard a guess, I would say that you are at least 50 top 60 years old? People of your generation – no insult intended – are often set aback by any new technology more advanced than a rotary telephone.

This reminds me of the old joke – which was actually a real life example – about the guy who called tech support because his coffee cup holder would not come out of his computer. It was his CD palyer.

You are doing fine. Hang in there. And know that it may take a little while for you to get used to a computer, especially since you don’t have one in your home. It appears that you have the will to succeed.

Yep, that person is right on the mark. It sounds as though you are already surfing the internet and you don’t even know it. No problem here. Reminds me of when my wife made me start using a computer.

It sounds like you are indeed on the web… you just do not know it good enough yet to be able to identify it. You have to access the internet through a web browser, the two biggest ones being Internet Explorer and Firefox.
