It is a good idea to ensure that you choose the correct size of pot. This may sound very obvious, but it is easy to under estimate how much, or in a rare case, how little growth a plant will put on in one season. You must remember to keep in mind the plant’s needs when purchasing a pot, some might like to be pot-bound, and whether you will be able to fit in all the plants you want for a display and allow them room to settle. If you plan to pot a more permanent display, that is one that will last more than one season, find out the long-term size that the plant may reach, or consider that you may need to pot it on.
