After ten years in the house we live in, we figure it’s about time we replaced our window blinds and shades. Having two kids grow up in the house has left them a little worn looking, and even broken in some spots. The current ones are basic aluminum blinds, so they’re not that attractive anyway (although they are pretty easy to clean). We can’t decide whether we should get fabric or wood blinds to replace them. Fabric seems like it would be more forgiving of kids throwing balls and stuff in the house, but we really like the look of the wood blinds. Maybe faux wood would be the best compromise?
