People often want to figure out just what the landscape definition actually is. Many home and business owners want to have their yard or pool fixed up and want to make sure it is a landscaper they would need to call and not someone else. The term landscaping refers to the modification of the visible features of any space of land such as a backyard or garden using lawnmower blades. So for any person who wanted to get a yard, pool, deck or other space fixed up it would be a landscaper they would need to call.

Of course there are different do it yourself landscaping designs that regular people can follow but for the most part it is best to hire a professional to get the job done. Now that you understand the true landscape definition you can more easily find the right landscaper to get the job done. First you need to figure out what it is that you want to get done in your landscaping job. There may be a few major things you need tackled or a bunch of little tasks, it is completely up to you.

My sister Mia called me up last night and invited me over to her house in Huntington Beach. She moved to Huntington Beach three months before and I had not even been to her new house. She said that we were going to have lunch in her backyard. She told me that she had just bought some Patio Tents for her backyard because the sun is pretty bright and hot on that side of the house. I told my sister that since I would be visiting I’ d bring back the movies and umbrella that I had borrowed from her a few weeks back.

My parents have been adding one or two types of outdoor lights to their home each year. They live in the country and have a huge yard. This year they have added outdoor lighting flood lighting above the pole shed where my father works on his antique cars. My mother also added garden lighting around her garden, and landscape lighting along the front of the house. Last year they added some low voltage lighting right outside the four car garage. I guess it may be called exterior lighting but either way it serves its purpose well. The extra lighting has made their place beautiful.

Four years ago my wife Linda decided that she was going to start her own beauty supply company. She had owned a salon for years and she decided that she had enough knowledge to pull off this endeavor. This totally proved true last year when she opened up a second location. These days I’m helping her on a part time basis with handling some of the customer complaints. She also gave me a task last week of finding a lift. I wound up finding a great deal on a Yale Lift Truck. I felt this piece of equipment would fit her business best.

My family owns a farm. It has been in the family for many generations. I grew up here and my husband grew up at a farm that is about 30 miles away. It is not an ez life but we love it. My husband needs to buy a Front End Loader For A Tractor. He is looking for one that is low and that will boot up easily. I can look out my windows right now and see him fiddling with the tractor, we both agree that he has got to get something to make life easier. We need to buy it soon.

When landscaping a back or front yard, many things must be taken into account when putting together your designs. One of the biggest ones is this: what already exists and what needs to be covered up. In fact, most houses have stuff such as utility boxes, telephone boxes and pool electronic equipment that needs to be hidden if one is to successfully landscape their yard. If you love planter boxes, perhaps in preference to pots and tubs, the wood is a great choice. You can seed these up with wild flowers, grow lettuce or colorful annuals, or even bay, lemon or buxus. Almost anything can be grown in your spacious wooden planter boxes that you desire.  Some come with wheels for easy movement.  If you are disabled these can be a real bonus as they bring the garden to you.

I don’t know if you have ever tried to put up a fence but it is not easy. There are many things to buy, you have to dig the holes, stretch the wire if it is a chain link fence; it is hard work. It appears one of the most difficult tasks in putting up a fence is digging the holes. You can use a manual post hole diggers or post hole augers. I recommend the latter. A post hole auger can do the work of 10 men and virtually eliminate hard digging. Since you will likely only need to put up one fence then it is probably best to rent the equipment.

The city I live in has one of the coldest winters in the region. Most of our evenings are spent indoors, close to the living room fireplace. This can get really gloomy at times, as staying indoors for long periods is the perfect recipe for seasonal depression. Last winter I decided to build an outdoor fireplace in our backyard so that we could spend some time of the evening outside. It is quite easy to set up a fireplace with those outdoor fireplace kits, which is what I did. These kits can help you build a fireplace anywhere in your house in very little time.

We’re planning to build a fence to keep animals out of our property, and we’re thinking of using a solar electric fence so we can save some money on electricity to run it. I’m wondering whether solar power will provide enough juice to keep it running all the time, or do we need to have some sort of backup power supply for it as well? We get a fair bit of sun, but it can be dull and rainy for several days at a time in the winter months. Will the fence still charge even if the sun isn’t out?

My electric Lawn Mower has been a life saver. My husband travels for a living and I can never get our gas powered mower to work correctly. Now I just plug my electric one in and off I go. When my husband is home, he takes over and uses the John Deere riding mower to do the yard, but that is far and few between. My sister-in-law laughs at me and says I need to learn to use our gas mower, but I disagree. The electric one does the job and I don’t have the hassle. It’s hard enough raising five young kids on my own without adding unnecessary stress.

I want a Fish Pond in my backyard, but I’m too scared to get one. I don’t know the first thing about pumps and filters and I don’t want to hurt the fish. My mom has suggested I see if my local home improvement store offers a class on how to take care of one of these ponds. That’s a good idea so I am going to call them this weekend and see if they have one coming up. These ponds are a beautiful addition to any backyard and I believe installing one would also increase my property value. This is in addition to their aesthetic appeal.

I’ve got a big yard (almost two acres of grass) and I’m looking for a new riding mower. I’ve heard these new zero turn lawn mowers are the way to go, but they seem to be a bit more expensive. Are they really that much better? I don’t have any particularly difficult spots to cut – the yard is pretty much a big rectangle – so I’m not worried about getting into tight corners or anything like that. I’m also not sure how natural it will feel to drive one of these, when the back wheels do the steering. Any advice for me here?

French intensive gardening is also known as biodynamic gardening.  It is a technique first used in france to utilize small garden spaces with higher production.  Although biodynamic is geared toward producing larger amounts of vegetables in smaller spaces it works very well for flower gardens as well.  These garden plots are raised mounds about 5 feet wide.  the soil is worked to a depth of 2 feet and turned with 1/3 dry compost 1/3 wet compost and 1/3 soil.  This loose soil allows for fantastic root growth and the natural compost makes for healthy plants.  The plants are put close together so  that the mature foliage will cover all the soil and help prevent weed growth.  This provides 8 to 10 times more plants per area than traditional gardens.
