I need a tax attorney in Dallas Texas.  My parents passed away and did not leave a will.  What a mess!  I have two siblings and I fear this will get nasty quickly.  I have heard probate was expensive, but I never dreamed I would have to deal with taxes on the estate of my parents.  I realized there would be an inheritance tax, but I didn’t know we would have to pay taxes on the estate until it is settled.  Would it be cheaper to look outside of the Dalllas propper and deal with an attorney in some smaller area like Garland, etc?

It is important to remember that where children are involved during divorce proceedings, the well-being of the children should be of upmost concern for all concerned.  The judges hearing these complicated cases typically have the wellfare of the kids foremost in their minds, and here in our area, the child custody lawyers in Orlando usually also are busy trying to figure out the best outcome for the minor children, which is a good thing, however, I would like to bring up a point that is often overlooked in these very difficult situations.

At some point during the often messy and emotional process, they children, if they are old enough, will be brought into the fray, and sometimes, they are even asked to choose which parent they would prefer living with. These encounters with social workers, lawyers, and judges are extremely difficult for kids, and often these images stay in their heads for a lifetime.  They guilt associated with having to choose just one parent to live with is staggering.  Maybe, there is no way around this, but if judges, lawyers and parents could treat this kids with kindness, it will help in later years.
