Now that you have applied for green card status in the United States, it can be difficult to wait to find out what is happening. You might have applied several years ago and still be waiting. This is normal. Since green cards are worked on as they come into the United States it takes time to get through the process. The processing time can be found at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website. This is where they will put the status of all the different VISAs they are working on and along with the dates when everyone applied. The reason this is done is because everyone goes through the same process and USCIS wants to simplify the process of finding the information that is needed.
