Posted by Inge,

I grew up on a farm and have not been there in awhile. I am going to take the kids out to the farm so that they can experience it for themselves. I want them to see FARMING TRACTORS and get to ride on one. I think that it will be a lot of fun for them and a new experience. I am sure that they will be wanting to drive it in no time at all. It was a lot of fun living here when I was younger and I want them to enjoy it like I did growing up.

It was always the highlight of our summer for my brother and me when our parents would take us to the farm and leave us for two weeks at the farm with our grandparents. We absolutely loved it.

I know your kids are going to be blown away by all the equipment on the farm. I can remember going to my grandparents and being able to climb up beside my grandfather and go for a ride on the tractor.

I know what you are talking about, because my parents also sold their farm. They were at the age where it was too much for them and they are happier now that they live in town.

I wish I could have taken my children to see the farm where I grew up, but unfortunately, shortly after I left for college my parents sold the farm. I do not really blame them because farming is not easy.

It was one of the best times ever when I took my kids to the farm where I grew up. I had told them about the farm but it really did not resonate with them until they could see it for themselves. They loved it!

I imagine it will be nostalgic for you to go back home again and it should be fun to show your children where and how you grew up. I hope you all are staying for a while so they can get a taste of life on the farm.

Yes, I know what you are talking about because my grandpa had a big wagon that he would fill with hay on Halloween and he would take us around to his neighbors for trick or treating. It was reall fun.

How much fun it will be for you children to get to experience the wide open spaces of a farm. When I was little my grandfather had a wagon he hooked to his tractor and he would take us all for a ride.

I agree, grandparents are the best, because they truly give unconditional love. I know my parents loved me just as much but they also had to discipline me which my grandparents did not do which was great.

I assume that your kids are going to get to see their grandparents on the farm and I remember I always loved to see my grandparents because they were experts on spoiling me. I always looked forward to seeing them.

We had a big dairy farm and we grew our own hay for the cows. My dad was pretty successful so we had a big tractor with an air conditioned cab and it also had a stereo so it was a lot of fun to drive.

I grew up on a farm in Minnesota and I had seven sisters and no brothers. I was the oldest so I got to do a lot of work with the tractor every summer. I did not think driving a tractor all day was fun.

Your kids are going to love seeing the farm.  Sounds like you live in town now so they have no idea of how much fun it is to have opens spaces to play in and all the farm animals to play with.

It will be hard for your kids to realize just how hard it is to live on a farm. Everyone who lives on a farm is required to do some chores to keep everything running properly. Farm kids never get much time to play especially in the summer.

That was a big drawback of living on a farm because all summer while the city kids were having fun at the minicipal swimming pool, the farm kids were having to work all day. Usually we would get to go into town on Saturday and have some fun.

After being away from the farm for twenty years, I can still remember being sore all over but the next day I had to get back on for another long day of work in the sun.

I kn sayow what you are talking about when you eight hours on a tractor is not easy. City folks would think that would be easy, just like driving a car, but tractors are rough-riding and you are really sore the next day.

Yes, I too can remember when I got to drive the tractor for the first time. Shortly after that I had to drive the tractor and do work with it. Eight hours in the field was not that much fun.

If your kids are boys, I am sure they will be really excited about being able to ride on a tractor. I grew up on a farm and it was a big deal for me when I was big enough to be able to drive the tractor by myself.

I too lived in town but I really envied the farm kids because they got to live around so many animals. If I had realized all the chores that went with the animals, I may have reconsidered.

I grew up in the city but I always wanted to know what it would be like to live on a farm. I hope your kids are going to be able to spend enough time there so they can see what life was like for you.

All children should get to see the place where their parents spent their childhood because it will give them a sense of who they are and how their ancestors lived. I really enjoyed seeing my parents’ hometowns.

Your kids should have a lot of fun seeing a farm for the first time. I know when my dad took me to see the farm where he grew up was a wonderful experience and riding on the tractor was the best.

Riding on a tractor is always a major thrill for kids especially little boys. I hope your kids will have a really good time seeing where and how you grew up. My kids loved it when they got to go to the farm.

I too grew up on a farm and I can remember that when I took my kids back to see the farm where I grew up, they were amazed. They could not believe that I lived so far from a town.

I think it is great that your kids are going to get a chance to see what your life was like when you were on the farm, seeing is believing. I bet they will love to ride on a tractor.

I grew up in the city and I love animals, everything from cats and dogs to cows and horses. I always wished that I had been able to live on a farm so I could have a lot of animals.

I grew up on a farm and I have great memories of all the fun we had. Of course we all had daily chores our parents made sure that we all had chores which we had to do every day.
