My mom has been a Dental Assistant for the past thirty years. There are three girls in our family and mom hoped one of us would follow in her footsteps. Yet, we all chose to go into other fields. Don’t get me wrong. Mom is proud of each and every one of us. She just finds her job so fulfilling that she wanted to ensure we found that same satisfaction in our careers or so we thought. The other day, my seventeen year old daughter told my mom she wants to be a dental assistant also. My mom burst into tears she was so happy. Maybe it meant more to her than we realized.

I am really proud of my latest DIY project. I actually started it and then finished it in less than a week. I found it helps when you follow the directions. Ok, I knew that, I just usually don’t do it. I put outdoor recessed lighting in the patio railing and under the steps. I got a great sales price on a kit at the Home Depot and I installed it myself to cut down on the inatallation cost. I had several ideas for the design of where to put the lights but I stayed with the KISS method and it looks great!

You can save a lot of money by buying a used elliptical machine. But, there can be some big negatives. For example, most manufacturer warranties are not transferable.
A remanufactured unit is taken apart all the way down to the frame. Then, it is sand blasted and repainted. All of the original parts are reinstalled, unless they are too worn or broken. The manufacturer will probably throw in a 90 day “new” warranty, but you better read the fine print.
You are better off to find a factory refurbished elliptical, which is a newer model that was used, but refurbished by the manufacturer which will give it a full new price warranty. But, even then there will likely be lots of restrictions.
Try checking Craigslist in your home town for a used machine because then you can actually try it out before you commit your money. There still won’t be any warranty to speak of, but at least you can feel and touch the elliptical before you waste your money.
